Happy 68th Birthday Dad!

Today was Dad's big 68th birthday so we celebrated with him and the family at Neals cafe and then some of us went out to visit at Mom and Dad's. I am blessed to have a caring Dad who loves us and the girls so much. The girls love their Papa. He would do anything for us. Happy Birthday Dad - we love you!

Chloe's Surgery

We found out yesterday that Chloe's surgery will for sure be on Wednesday at 8:30 that morning. Please remember her in your prayers. Thanks for all of your concern too! :)

Eureka - Holy Land Tour

The girls and I went to visit Mike in Eureka Springs earlier in the week. He has been over at the Tyson Berryville plant since Tuesday working. During the day we decided to do the Passion Play Holy Land Tour while Mike was working. It is a 2 1/2 hr ride on a tram/trolley through an AR version of the Holy Land. It stopped at various sites (the Tabernacle, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, the Last Supper & The Crucifixion and Tomb) where an individual in costume would portray their experience during Jesus' time. Along the road there would be displays of what a water well, threshing floor, sheep pin, etc. looked like. The girls and I had a good time talking about the bible and what Jesus experienced while on earth and the hope of our future with him. :)

We also were able to see the Sacred Arts Center. There is a lot of great christian art from many different famous artists. They give you a detailed tour. Chloe really loved seeing all the paintings and learning about the artists. This was right down her alley as she loves art too.

The Aquatic Center

Chloe's Tball Comes to an End

Chloe played her last game tball game of the season. She has really enjoyed tball. Here are a few pictures taken after the game with a couple of her teammates and the team. She worked very hard to learn about tball. She received her trophy and the coach said Chloe was a "determined little runner". She always looked so serious when she was running. We had a lot fun watching her and are really proud of her for trying something new. Way to go sis!

The Naturals Game

I thought I would share a fun time we had together. Mike & I took the girls to the local minor league baseball game on the 17th. My friend Christina was scheduled to sing the National Anthem and we thought it would be a great time to cheer her on and catch a game. Christina did a great job! I was only to video part of the song as I couldn't find her on the field and then my memory ran out on my camera. Also, excuse me, because I turned the camera vertical so you will have to turn your head a bit to view the video. Not a pro at the camera thing I guess.... :)

We had a really fun time watching the game. The girls enjoyed the between innings entertainment. The mascot, Strike, or an entertainer named Christopher would perform. It was great family fun!

Scheduled Surgery for Chloe - July 2nd

Today was a busy Dr. day for Chloe. We saw the Immunologist this morning and the ENT Dr. this afternoon. Our brains are swimming so I hope this makes sense.

The Immunologist showed us the CT scan of Chloe's sinuses and recommended that she have some sinus surgery to clear out current and old infection that hasn't responded to antibiotics thus far. He also mentioned that her turbinates need to be reduced. As I understand the turbinates are small bone like things in her nose that direct airflow. Chloe's are really large and need reduced. While there Chloe also received a Prevnar shot. Since she didn't produce a good immune response to the Pneumonia titers this was the next step to boost immunity. She will have a Pnuemovac shot in 4 wks and then will have blood work drawn Aug 5th to see her antibody/immune response levels. Please pray that we see a dramatic improvement. The Immunologist wrote a letter for me to give to the ENT Dr. regarding a recommendation for sinus surgery while Chloe has her PE (Ear) tubes put in.

We were scheduled to see the ENT Dr. this afternoon to discuss a date for Chloe to have the PE tubes put in so we took this Dr. a copy of her CT scan too. He agreed with the immunologist so we are scheduled to have Sinus/PE Tube surgery July 2nd. It sounds pretty gross as they will fracture some of the turbinate bones (?) and clean out her sinus cavities but it has a pretty quick recovery time. The hardest part being no activity (swimming too :( for 2 wks. The PE tube part is really easy so it sounds like this will help her. The goal is to clean everything out and open up her sinuses and ears so she can hear and breathe easy. He said Chloe's ears looked the same as before, no change. She is still 100% full of fluid in 1 and partially in the other. The Dr. said the surgery will be like setting the "reset" button on her sinuses and her ear issues should be resolved.

We are praying that God gives us continued wisdom on how to get Chloe on the road to great health. I know he can instantly heal her or provide us with the people to help her. Either way is fine with us because we know God will take care of our little girl. We are getting tired of Dr.'s appointments but if that is what it takes, then that is what we will do.
