Wow! It's been some time!

I have been seriously neglecting my blog for those of you who do blogging. It was quickly replaced by Facebook. I forgot how much I enjoyed putting my thoughts down and sharing pictures. More than just "what's happening in my world at this minute". While that is fun and I will still do Facebook, I really want to get back to blogging some. That being said......

As most of you know we are expecting our unexpected 3rd little girl November 17th (Mike's birthday). She will be born by C-section as both Chloe and Lauren were. We have decided to name her Jules Ryann Becksted! I have about 9 wks left and can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown. I think there is something to be said about busyness and making time fly. The girls, Mike and I know this will be another change for us all but are eagerly waiting to see what our little girl will be like. She isn't nearly as active as either of the girls. Dr. says maybe she just a calm baby. Hope he is right. A laid back baby would suit us well.

It is really amazing how quickly our plans can change. I was reminding Mike how just the other day we were saying about a year ago that we both felt something was in the works for our family. Sometimes you can just sense change coming. Now we know some of what God was preparing us for. It is always amazing what God thinks we can handle. We had always said "wow, 3 would be tough" yet here we are trusting God to make us suitable parents for one more. :)

More sledding fun.....

Today we went to Mom & Dad's for some sledding fun. Decided to pull the 4-wheeler out and give it a try as some of the snow was melted (not so good for old fashioned sledding). Chloe brought a friend and Gwen and the boys went too. Poor Lauren has a bad cough so she stayed at the house with Nanny.

Bracing for the freezing temps expected over the next few days - love the snow though! Thanks Dad for all the fun today!! :)

Sledding Fun!

Today we decided to do some sledding. Mike & I took the girls on Sunday to Chloe's school to sled and forgot the camera. Today I remembered it! The girls & I went with Marie, Gwen, Josh & Jacob. Josh and Jacob hadn't been sledding before. They (We-specifically Gwen & I) had a great time too! Planning on more sledding in the days ahead! :)

Becksted Family Christmas

Today we celebrated Christmas with Mike's family. We always have a fun time when we get together, today was no exception. I thought today as I looked around...wow, we are all out of the baby/toddler phase. A little sad I must say. I miss those days when we had babies laughing or even crying. Mike's sisters Pam, Gwen & I were all pregnant at the same time at one point. Pam had Isaac in July, I had Chloe in Sept and then Gwen had Josh in Nov. That was neat to share the pregnancy experience with them. Then on another time, Mike's sisters Pam & Carla were both pregnant at the same time then had their babies (naturally) on the same day! I know we are all getting older, glad we are still having fun and appreciating one another. We are grateful for wonderful loving family that loves and supports each other through life's ups and downs! :)
