That was then!

I ran across these sweet pictures of the girls taken in February of 2006. They have changed so much. At each stage I am challenged to focus on the blessings and not the hardships that come with "training up a child in the way they should go". As the scripture says "Children are a gift from God" and though, it is challenging sometimes, it is such a blessing. I am forever grateful that God blessed us with our sweeties! They are precious to me. :)

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY CHLOE!

Chloe's big day is today! I can hardly believe that she is 8 years old now. She was just my little baby the other day, or so it seems. She was so excited to have a Karaoke party last night with her friends (20-25 (+ parents & siblings, to be exact - whew!). We made a stage for them to perform on in the backyard and did some face paint/tattoos and prizes too. I wasn't sure how many of them would actually perform on the stage, boy was I surprized. That was their favorite part I think. They seemed to have a lot of fun. I know Chloe was overjoyed to have all her friends there. We hit the hay hard last night too. :)

Tonight we celebrated with my family at a local restaurant. Chloe is so blessed to have so many people that love her and want her to do well. Thank you to all who made her day so special! We love you all! :)

He's still the one!

Today is our 11th wedding Anniversary. Time has really flown by........I am very blessed to have a husband that serves the Lord and our family. I love Mike dearly and he "is still the one" I want after all these years. We have so many sweet conversations that I cherish, he is my best friend. Tonight we went out to dinner, for a little drive and then decided to hit the movies (something we love to do as we don't get too often). We had a nice time together thinking back on years gone past and those to come. I love you honey!

Girls and their nails......

The girls went with me today to get my nails done. I decided to let them get their nails and toes painted. I remembered my camera in my purse so I took a few cute pictures. They were so happy and sat up there like little ladies. I may have created a monster as they can't wait to go again........They were too cute!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

Today we celebrated Grammy's 60th birthday (it's ok, I know she wouldn't mind me sharing her age :). The girls & I went to pick her up after school & brought her our way as she is staying over night at our place tonight. We met up with Ron, Gwen and the kids for dinner & cake to celebrate. We enjoyed celebrating with her. Happy Birthday Grammy - we love you!

Cooking with Nanny & playing in the Rain

The girls and I spent most of our day at Mom and Dad's. Mike had to go in

to work for a while so we thought we would visit with Nanny and Papa.

Chloe loves to cook with Nanny. They decided to make homemade biscuits.

The girls then decided they wanted to play in the rain.

This picture was just too sweet to pass up......I looked up and saw the girls both calling to the cows across the road with hands on hips.

Dress Up

DRESS UP TIME -- Chloe and a couple of her friends wanted me to put make up on them this afternoon and style their hair. They then went and started dressing as though they were going to "prom" they said. Fixing them up reminded me of when I was young and loved to play in the make up and get dolled up too. Where did those simple days go, oh yeh, I am all grown up now. I get to have those cute times with my girls now. It just might be more enjoyable watching them having fun. :)

Great News!

We received some great news about Chloe and I have to share.........all her recent bloodwork came back NORMAL. They tested her immune response specifically to Pneumonia and her levels were 14 out of 15, 15 being great. Thank you for your many prayers. She is doing great and we give God all the glory. "Great things he has done." :)

Party at the Park

Today was Allison's birthday, a friend of ours in the neighborhood. We celebrated with her at the local park. The girls had a silly time. Here are a few cute pictures I took.

Labor Day

Today we celebrated at the park for the afternoon. A gentleman from church invited us to celebrate his birthday with them. It was a nice time to relax and fellowship. The girls played volleyball, tball and just on the park equip. I think they have sand imbedded in their scalps now. :)

Mike was able to jam with a guy guy who came to play for the event. He is in a local band, Maud Crawford. They sounded great and had a great time. A nice way for him to relax. I recorded a little video clip from today. You will want to turn off the current music below before playing the clip.
