Splash, splash

Gwen, (Mike's littlest sis) and I took some of the kids to the Splash Park in Rogers. It has been so hot so we though this would be some good fun and relief too from the hot rays. Larry, Pam's littlest just ran and ran. It was so hard getting a picture of him because he moved so much. He had a blast as did the others too. Good times. :)

My little teachers

One night Lauren was sitting on her bed with some old sunglasses (the frames are out) and writing. Chloe said "Mom, come take a picture of Lauren, she looks so cute!" so I ran and took some shots. Chloe then wanted to be teacher too. They come up with some cute things. :)

Grandma's Big day!

My only living grandparent just celebrated her 90th birthday. She looked so sweet and seemed to have a nice time with family. I was so glad to see some of my family that I hadn't seen in many years. Time goes by so fast. I pray I can slow down and enjoy family more in the days ahead. Happy Birthday Grandma! :)

Issac's 8!

We had a fun time celebrating Issac's birthday. He is now 8! Can't believe how quick they are all growing. Thought I would share some sweet pictures.

Marie's New Place

Marie (Mike's mom for those who may not know Marie) is officially in her new place as of last night. She is so excited and yet a little nervous too. We have all worked feverishly since Tues when we first were notified that a low income residence became available. Her house is a cute little 1 bdrm duplex like residence. I would say they were built in the 70's if I was guessing. It is just a perfect size for her. There are a lot of people on disability that live in this housing complex. She will have some new buds in no time. I called her this morning and she said she slept perfect last night. Resting better than she normally does. She said it "feels like home" to her. We couldn't be happier for her. Here are a few pictures I took last evening. We still have some decorating to do and she will be getting a washer and dryer soon too.

Great today

Chloe is doing really good today. She wanted to go to church this morning and even felt like eating out afterwards. She is pretty tuckered out now but doing good otherwise. Hope you all have a blessed day! :)

Update on Chloe

Chloe seemed to be more stuffy and in more pain today but the nurses say the 2nd day is usually like that. Overall though, she is doing pretty well. It does bother her to be outside, I believe due to the humidity and heat. It makes it harder for her to breathe. She slept most of the afternoon/evening, but did wake up around 9:30p tonight so she was able to see some fireworks go off at least.

Chloe's Surgery Today

Just wanted to give you all a quick update. Chloe is doing well tonight. Her surgery went well. The doctor did remove a couple of polyps he found in her sinus area. They also thinned down her turbinates (that direct airflow in her nose) as they were enlarged. He said her sinuses her inflamed and infected too so he cleaned out everything. We were blessed that since she didn't bleed much afterward, they didn't have to pack her nose. I know that would have been bothersome to her and would have meant another trip to the doctor in the morning. Her PE tubes (ear) went fine. She had fluid but not any active infection in her ears so that is great too. She also did so much better with anthesthia this time. She was agitated but nothing like her previous surgery. I managed to stay upright too. :) We will be going for a follow up next week and we expect her to be feeling so much better in no time flat.

Lake Time!

The girls, Dad and I all went to the lake this afternoon to play on the seadoo and swim around. Chloe wanted to ride the seadoo before she had her surgery and Dad was nice enough to take it out for us to play on. We had a really fun time together. Here are a few pictures we took.
